When should a wisdom tooth be removed?

To remove a wisdom tooth, it may be necessary to open the gum or remove the surrounding bone. The wound is then sutured. What to prepare for after tooth extraction?
After dental procedures, swelling or mild discomfort are highly expected, problems may occur with full mouth opening and with swallowing saliva. Also, the patient may have a bruise on the skin. We recommend applying an ice pack to the swelling for a more successful recovery process. Avoid excessive physical exertion, eat light food (porridges, yogurt).
