Consultation and diagnostics
We check your teeth with 3D x-ray, and give you advice on how to maintain and keep a healthy smile
The purpose of the consultation is not mainly to obtain the most complete information about the health of the client's teeth and oral cavity, but also to hear the client's wishes, to learn about his\her feelings - that is crucial to agree on a treatment plan. During the consultation, the dentist provides the patient with information about the course of treatment and the necessary amount of procedures
Quality of Service
We Care specialists use high-precision technologies for diagnosing caries and its complications, for example, a microscope that allows you to see even the deepest damage to your teeth.
Initially, the dental health condition is checked by visual examination, but radiographs in 2D and 3D formats are used for more accurate diagnosis. A special scanner is used for prosthetics, surgery, orthodontics.
We'll tell you the details about the health of your teeth and gums. Let's discuss a treatment plan with you and give advice on taking care of your smile.

Frequently asked questions
-
What happens at the first dentist visit?
At the first visit to We Care clinic, the dentist performs a full oral examination and compiles a dental status. If necessary, an X-ray or 3D scan is taken. At the end of the visit, the patient receives a clear picture of their dental health and recommendations for further treatment. The visit lasts 45–60 minutes and there is nothing to be afraid of — it is simply a check-up.
-
How much does a dental consultation cost in Riga?
At We Care clinic, an initial consultation (examination and dental status) costs €85 for up to 45 minutes. A full examination with 3D scanning and a treatment plan costs €130 (60 minutes). A child's consultation costs €40. X-rays and scanning are calculated separately.
-
How long does the initial consultation last?
The initial consultation at We Care clinic lasts 45–60 minutes. During this time, the dentist performs a full dental examination, compiles a dental status, takes an X-ray or 3D scan if needed, and explains treatment options. The visit is unhurried — it is important to us that the patient leaves with a clear understanding of their oral health.
-
What is the difference between 2D and 3D dental X-rays?
A 2D X-ray (orthopantomogram) provides a good general overview and is sufficient for routine dentistry — treating cavities and preventive check-ups. A 3D X-ray (cone beam computed tomography) is needed in more complex cases: before implantation, surgical procedures, orthodontic treatment, or when a 2D image does not provide enough information. At our clinic, 3D X-ray is available on-site — saving time and allowing the dentist to make more accurate decisions already at the first visit.
-
Is a dental consultation necessary if nothing hurts?
Yes - and that is precisely when it is most effective. Most dental problems - cavities, gum inflammation - develop slowly without pain. By the time pain appears, the problem has usually reached an advanced stage requiring more expensive treatment. A preventive check-up once a year allows changes to be noticed early, saving both time and money.
-
Can I come to the dentist without an appointment for acute pain?
Yes - We Care clinic accepts emergency patients out of turn. However, please note that emergency admission costs €40 more than a planned visit, and waiting time may be longer depending on the clinic's workload. At an emergency visit, the dentist typically addresses only the immediate problem - full diagnostics and a treatment plan are carried out at a separate visit. That is why we recommend not postponing your preventive check-up - a problem caught early is treated faster, at lower cost, and with less stress.
